Hello, my name's Barney.  As you can see, I'm an Old English Sheepdog - Americans would call me a Bobtail, because I don't have a tail. I'm 11 years old, which is quite old for a big dog .  I live with my friends Tigger (the Tabby Cat) and Buffy (the Vampire) Black Cat.  Tigger's a boy and Buffy's a girl.

This webpage is where I'm going to tell you about some of the things I get up to from time to time.  I'll also tell you about some of my other friends (including Bugsy the Rex Rabbit, Glyn and Earl the Bearded Dragons and Patrick the Chameleon).

My favourite pastime is to be curled up in the back of my car, although sometimes I sit and look out of the car window. I also like going for walks in the woods.

It was my birthday in June.  I had a party with all of my friends and people.  I had a birthday cake - my favourite lemon cake!  It was great!  I'm now 11 years old.  My people tell me that's quite old for an Old English Sheepdog.  In fact they say I'm a bit like a grumpy old man.  I'm not nasty or anything, but I do like people to let me do the things I want to do.  Lots more car rides for instance - why do they sometimes not take me with them? I'm sure I could squeeze in when the car's a bit full.  And why do I have to eat my food from a dish on the floor when they all sit on chairs at a table.  I could sit at the table too!  And why do I have to have different food - I think they get it from their pet shops. But I'd prefer nice babecued sausages like they eat sometimes. Or steak or some of those other tasty things they eat.  Why can't I be like a human?  I use my brain as much as they do!

By the way, Bugsy got married earlier this year.  His wife is a nice little black rabbit called Lola.  It wasn't long before they had some babies.  They were cute cuddly little things and very quickly got sold from one of our shops when they were old enough.  We think there may be some more baby rabbits on the way now.  I'll keep you posted .....
